The Pavilions

The two Pavilions are now detached!

Each is the size of today’s average 4 bedroom house and had an upper floor but no signs of a staircase unless this was wooden and internal, the roofs have long gone and the walls are deteriorating and splitting badly mainly due to the ivy and trees growing through the structure.

The connecting corridors which attached the pavilions to the main building have gone on the North Pavilion, (NM156) but on the South Pavilion the rear wall can still be seen although it is slowly falling down in parts.

There are two amazing decorative stone carvings on the front of each Pavilion, and the columns and what looks like Tudor raised decorations are still very recognisable.
